On the 21st October, 3 friends of Rich’s took part in the Great South Run. Ben and Chris, friends of Rich’s from school days and Charlotte, a college friend of Rich’s wife Hayley.

Ben and Chris said they would do it “dressed in something suitably ridiculous, in honour of Richard’s great sense of humour, and love of the banter”. This translated into dressing up as Rich’s favourite superhero and his sidekick, Batman and Robin. Both ran brilliantly right to the end despite the heat and Robin being cat-called as Batman had got ahead! Together they raised £578.75 including gift aid!

Charlotte had been steadily training for months for this and had suffered an injury to her knee in the lead-up to the event. She absolutely smashed the run though and wore a CRY t-shirt to raise awareness of this fantastic charity too. Super proud of her! Total raised by Charlotte was £272.50 including gift aid!

So a grand total of £851.25 raised altogether in honour of Rich Brember, who no doubt had a big laugh at how ridiculous both boys looked and was proud of Charlotte for her dedication to the run despite an injury.
