Friends and family of Luke Meekings, who died of HCM on the 24th June 2008 aged 24, joined together on the 23rd June 2013 to remember Luke and raise funds for CRY.

After the BBQ everyone gathered in the garden to release white helium filled balloons and raise a glass in memory of Luke. A total of £200 was raised for the Luke Meekings Memorial Fund.

The pictures show the balloons being released by four generations of family, and friends of Luke’s from school, work and Middleton and Bognor Hockey Club of which he had been an enthusiastic member and committed player for many years.
