Sudden Death Syndrome claims up to 8 young victims every week in the UK. Sporty youngsters who put stress on their heart are most at risk if they have an underlying heart problem.

I lost my son Leon 3½ years ago to an undetected heart problem. Leon was always so fit, so full of life. You would never have guessed that he had a heart problem that would claim his life.

Leon fell asleep peacefully on 17th July 1998.

So do something worthwhile this Boxing Day and join us in doing the Boxing Day Dip. If you’re too afraid to take the plunge then just sponsor us instead.

The money raised from the Dip will go towards the screening of 40 youngsters IN THIS AREA. They will have an ECG and an ECHO which would detect any underlying heart defects.
