I missed the ‘Heart of Durham’ walk this year so I took advantage of the Virtual ‘My Walk’ and included members of my walking group, Bury Walking Group, as it was my scheduled walk as leader.

Seventeen members walked on the 23rd September 2021 who were all aware the walk was in memory of my niece Alexander Reid.  During the walk members asked about CRY and Alex. Even though there were some emotional conversations I am hopeful I appraised all the members to the aim of CRY.

All the members on the walk made donations to Alex’s memorial CRY fund amounting to £340.

Please find attached a photo of Bury Walking Group members prior to setting off on a 9 mile walk from Nangreaves to Cheesden Valley, Bury, Lancs.
