I was pleased to be able to raise £749.15 for CRY as part of my charitable effort through cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats. I participated in Ride Across Britain, a 9 day cycling challenge of 970 miles. It was a thoroughly enjoyable (but gruelling) experience. I hope this fundraising goes someway to support the good work that CRY do in screening young people and providing defibrillators in sports venues and workplaces. I recommend this event for anyone wishing to really test their strength and resilience. I raised money through charitable donations from family and friends and through a raffle in the workplace with prizes donated from local businesses with one of my own bicycles as the star prize.
