On 1st December 2023, we (Bryn’s mum and sister) gathered at The Cottesloe School for CRY’s Great Cake Bake. We spent the days leading up to it baking up a storm! Between us, we had over 200 cakes to sell – especially thanks to contributions from family and friends, including Andrea, Jo and Bryn’s Grandma who made a ginormous chocolate cake!

On the day, we had a massive helping hand from Mair’s dear friend Jack Hall and lovely boyfriend Adam Dokhan, as well as the Head Students at Cottesloe. We were particularly grateful for all their help given that we were selling cakes outside in December!! Thanks to all the teachers and students at Cottesloe, we sold over half of the cakes that afternoon.

That same evening we went to Wingrave ‘spud night’ and with the help of Bryn’s half-brother and half-sister (Owen & Celyn), we sold all the remaining cakes!

In memory of our lovely Bryn, we raised £1,122 for CRY’s Great Cake Bake 2023. We hope we made Bryn proud.
