On Sunday 23rd March 2025, I ran the Hampton Court Palace half marathon. Although not a natural runner, I did Couch to 5K during Covid (like many others) and really liked it. I’ve been a consistent runner since picking it back up a few summers ago, in fact I remember my first run back – it was the night before we lost Tom.

Thomas Godridge was my brothers best friends for 10+ years and one of the most unique people I knew. He had been in our lives for years, always kind, funny and one of the most interesting people you could wish to meet. He was just 27 when he passed away suddenly in August 2023.

When thinking about running a race I knew the main reason would be to fundraise for charities close to my heart, including CRY. I was blown away by the donations and am so proud to have donated over £300 in memory of Tom.

I hope this money can go to supporting people like my brother and Tom’s family who had someone special taken away too soon and fund further research into cardiac problems.
