On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July, Wellsway School hosted the CRY Screening Team for the 6th heart screening event in memory of Jack Boulton. On a particularly hot weekend, the team were grateful for an aircon building!
Over the two-day event 182 young people were screened, the vast majority of which were under 18.
Jack Boulton’s family first became involved with CRY following his sudden death in August 2009. He was aged just 17.
Jack’s family have received tremendous support from the local community and this screening event has been set up because of various fundraising efforts and numerous donations.
In Jack’s memory, we have now screened over 1100 people, and we remain committed to supporting CRY in raising awareness and prevention of future young deaths. Together we are making a difference in saving young people.
