On the 27th June 2015 our world was turned upside down by the sudden passing of our eldest brother Richard, the heart of our family, just a few weeks after we celebrated his 30th birthday.
A year before his passing he had fallen ill with what we thought was a persistent chest infection, it turned out he had contracted a virus that had weakened his heart and lungs. He was placed on a waiting list for a defibrillator to be fitted and was deemed unfit to continue his work as a lorry driver. This devastated Richard, he was always hard working, and had gotten so close to achieving his dream of completing his self build and moving his children to the road that he grew up on, along with growing his hobby farm.
Sadly he never got to fulfill these dreams and as he would have been turning 40 this year Alison & I have decided to do a tandem skydive in memory of him and to mark the 10th anniversary of his passing.
Richard left behind a family he loved and his two young children, this last 10 years have been nothing short of heartbreaking and there isn’t a minute that goes by that we don’t think of him and how our lives would be so different if he was still here.
This could happen to anyone at any given time and more needs to be done to prevent another young life being lost.”
I was going to ask them to do a write up but they have a lot of information on their JustGiving page!
