A CHARITY football game will kick off in Harwich to raise money for potentially life-saving health screenings in the area.
Harwich and Parkeston FC is hosting the charity event at the Royal Oak ground, in Main Road, on Sunday (August 24).
The money raised will go towards the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) which will use the cash for Harwich-based heart screenings.
The fundraiser has been set up in memory of Tom Petley, who died in 2022 from sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SAD), aged just 20.
