12 A Week Challenge
2025 Write Up
On Saturday 8th November 2025, 55 participants began clocking up miles through various activities, including walking, running, horse riding, swimming, hiking, cycling, and jogging.
The 12 A Week Challenge took place during Raising Awareness Week, running from the 8th of November to the 16th of November 2025. Each of the 12 miles or activities completed symbolised the 12 young sudden cardiac deaths that occur each week in the UK.
Throughout the week, participants shared their progress, photos, and updates on Facebook and Instagram. These posts celebrated their achievements and reflected on their personal reasons for joining. For many, the challenge was deeply emotional, with each mile or activity serving as a tribute to those lost to sudden cardiac death.
Participants went above and beyond, sharing inspiring stories of their unique approaches to the challenge. From walking 12 miles a day to completing 12-hour exercise sessions, 12-mile bike rides, and even 12-mile horse rides, the dedication, was truly remarkable.
Collectively, participants achieved an incredible milestone, completing over 600 miles and activities! Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 12 A Week Challenge. Your dedication has been extraordinary, and we’re thrilled to announce that, to date, the 55 participants have raised an impressive total of £5,487.00
We are immensely grateful to everyone who participated and to the friends and family who supported them. Raising awareness for CRY is vital, and your efforts are invaluable.
