Letter for support

Dear …………………………….

We are two very lucky sisters, affectionately known as the ‘Bionic Babes’ – please see our story enclosed – who are trying to raise money for a wonderful charity and to raise awareness of sudden death syndrome, in the hope that other families will not have to go through the trauma of losing a loved one. Especially when these deaths can so easily be prevented. Our aim is set out for you below.

For a period of one year our mum Julie has very generously donated use, and possibly abuse, of her highly cherished 1979, Type 2, Volkswagen Kombi. We intend to have it re-sprayed and have the CRY logo put on the front. We hope to collect a lot of celebrity autographs on the small red hearts enclosed, and to have them stuck onto the ‘Bionic Bus’. Mum will take the bus to as many shows and rallies as possible throughout the year and we will run a competition to guess how many autographs we will have by 31st December 2003

We would be grateful if you could sign the red heart for us using the enclosed permanent marker and also autograph both of the white labels together with a short “thought from the heart” underneath. These labels will be made into two books. One of these books will be presented to the winner of the competition and the other will be auctioned off with the highest bid being paid to CRY.

Oh, and because we are cheeky – let’s face it, we can now afford to be – we would also be very grateful if you would make a donation to the charity as well. Please return the heart, labels and donation – cheques made payable to CRY – to us at our Mum’s shop.

With Heartfelt Thanks, Danii-Marie (16) and Laura (13)

P.S. Please pass on any spare hearts to your celebrity friends….. Thanks.
