A 10th charity match was held on 30 April 2017 in memory of Graeme Blenkinsop who passed away on 4 August 2006. In addition Mark Curtis held a sponsored head and face shave having not had his hair cut or shaved for 9 months. The match as usual ended in a draw and all participants and audience headed back to the Prince of Wales in East Cowes for food and drinks. A raffle was held with many prizes being kindly donated and this raised a fabulous £396. Mark then had his head and beard shaved by Tracey Rearden with a little help from his daughter and son – much laughter was had – and all agreed that he looked 10 years younger. Mark raised the magnificent amount of £1,770. This money will go towards another heart screening event which will hopefully save at least one young life.
