On the 24th November ‘An Evening with Gordon Banks’ was hosted at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes hotel in memory of James Colman.

This special evening was to celebrate the Golden Anniversary of England’s World Cup victory.
Guests enjoyed a photo meet-and-greet session and three course meal before sitting back to listen to the legendary goalkeeper bringing to life the moment when the England team took victory 50 years ago.

Through a raffle and live auction the evening raised £1,205 for CRY following the sudden loss of James Colman on the 14th March 2016. James was a keen footballer and hosting this event in James’ memory seemed like a fitting tribute.
