This year the staff at Marks & Spencer in Bridlington have chosen to support the charity CRY, Cardiac Risk in the Young. It was the sudden and devastating loss earlier this year of James Moorfoot that lead to the staff choosing this charity. James aged 28 tragically died whilst playing football for Langtoft and through this charity, the page

As part of Marks & Spencer’s year long fundraising on Saturday 22nd July some of James’ teammates past and present along with members of staff helped to raise funds and raise awareness of the charity by entertaining members of the public with their hoola hooping skills (a special thanks to Bridlington Leisure World for loaning the hoops for the day). In just 2 hours £200 was raised and leaflets were handed out raising awareness of the charity CRY .

The store in Bridlington earlier in the year also helped to raise funds towards each store receiving a defibrillator and by the end of August the Bridlington store in Prince Street will have received theirs which will be available for town centre use.
