Update Magazine 94 is out now! This edition features articles on Heart of London Bridges Walk, a review of the 12 a week campaign, research updates, fundraising event highlights, and much more!
Alden was born on 13th October 1998.
Alden was a strong, healthy, talented and beautiful young man, with a passion for music, rugby and cars. He was a natural musician, enjoyed being a DJ and producing his own music. As a keen rugby player, he played since the age of 6, first for Olney RUFC and then Milton Keynes RUFC. He attended the Grove Independent School and then Oakgrove. After leaving school he worked for John Lewis in the Ralph Lauren concession which inspired a love of fashion and luxury goods! He was so full of life, always thinking of the next adventure and having fun.
Alden was much loved by his family and friends and he will leave a huge gap in our world.
Unfortunately, Alden collapsed suddenly at his home on the evening of 21 May 2017 and could not be revived. We were advised that he died of a genetic heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and he had no symptoms, which is normal so there was nothing to warn us.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting CRY’s screening programme.
The aim is to fund the screening of young people within the local community.

Devastating to lose someone so young under any circumstances but thank you for funding the recent screening in MK. Both of my children tested and reassured.
