The Dominic O’Loughlin 10th anniversary football festival takes place on Saturday at Brighouse High School.
Staged by Clifton Rangers football club the event raises money for CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young – and a cheque for £1,000 was handed over after last year’s tournament.
The event has been held each year in memory of Dominic who died in 1994 from a heart defect while playing for Clifton Rangers. Organisers hope that this year’s 10th anniversary tournament will be extra special. Over 800 boys and girls will be taking part during the day and there will also be various stalls and food available. The tournament kicks off at 9.30am.
