Anth Rowland, of Bramble Park, took part in the Chase the Sun race this month. And in soaring temperatures, he completed the marathon ride in 12 hours.
He was met on the finish line at Weston-super-Mare’s Grand Pier by his wife, Hannah, and their two children
Anth’s efforts raised £500 for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory Gary Edwards, died of an undiagnosed heart condition in 2015, aged just 28.
Funds raised in Gary’s memory are used to provide heart screenings for young people in the Taunton area.
Locally, Hilary Edwards, Gary’s mum has so far raised over £25,000 for the charity.
