Staff from Barclays Bank supported the recent awareness and fundraising day at Mousehole, which was for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
The event was well attended by local residents as well as many visitors; and the total sum raised so far is £420. With the matched funding from Barclays this will bring the final total to over £800.
This sum, added to the three generous donations earlier in the year, will be a considerable amount towards the £7,000 required for the CRY Mobile Heart Screening Unit – booked for the weekend of 26 & 27 October.
Meanwhile the organisers’ son will be cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End on 21 to 31 July to raise more funding.
Martin Pezzack and his life-long friend Jason Jenkin will be joining a small team of riders who will be raising funds for three worthwhile charities – Cancer Research at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham; Cardiac Risk in the Young; and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
