As a young boy Brian was told he had an enlarged heart it never deterred him from following his passion of swimming and playing rugby. In his fifties he was formally diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He was passionate about screening especially of young people as there wasn’t anything like it when he was young. We feel so lucky to have had him in our lives for so long.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death, support those affected, support CRY’s screening programme and fund research and pathology.
