Brother leads team in tribute rugby match

IN TOUCH: A charity match raised about £2,000 in memory of a man who died suddenly on holiday. Jon McNamara got a team of friends to play Nottingham Modems second team in memory of his brother Simon. They ended up losing 25 – 15. Funds from the match are going to Cardiac Risk in the Young, which raises awareness of sudden adult death syndrome. Simon, 25, originally from The Burgage, Southwell, died in Croatia on July 17. He was a former Nottingham High School pupil and had just started work as a property developer when he died. Jon is pictured with the two teams before the start of the match.
