Broxbourne Tennis Club members raised more than £400 for charity at the James Wood Memorial tournament at Mill Lane last Sunday.
Father-and-son duo Paul and Steve Andrews emerged victorious at the event, which was organised by coach Mike Seymour and contested by 26 pairs in a handicap format. Sean Power and his son Luke finished as runners-up.
The tournament was formed in memory of James, a former member of the club who tragically passed away in 2002 at the age of 15. It is the second year that Broxbourne has staged the event and all money raised was donated to CRY, a charity founded nine years ago to raise awareness of cardiac risk in young people.
