Bungay Town Sunday men played their last fixture of the season on the 11th May. The previous fixture having been played on 23rd February, the delay being the result of cup fixture etc taking priority.
Sadly, Toby Chenery, a Bungay player passed away in his sleep a few days after the game on the 23rd February.
Naturally all Bungay players wished to take part in this final fixture of the season, in recognition of Toby.
Having gained permission from the league and their opponents Old Catton, for which we are grateful to both, Bungay were able to have twenty two players involved.
Both teams gave a competitive and respectful performance, giving the referee Jason Ding, many thanks to Jason, a pleasant morning outing.
Both teams agreed that all match fees and additional donations would be donated to CRY (cardiac risk in the young).
An amazing £350.00 was raised and donated to the charity in memory of Toby.
