Cardinal Griffin Catholic High School hosted a fundraising evening of popular music, organised by the Head of Music, Yvonne Griffin and sixth form students Ciaren Taylor, John Underhill and Adam Watson – with technical assistance provided by the music department’s Tim Baker.
All performers were talented students from the school, presenting an exciting and ‘Preferably Loud’ programme of contemporary rock and metal music to a packed hall of youthful – and one or two not so youthful! – people.
Popular artists on the evening included solo performances from Nick Allen, Chris Allen and Emma Bullock; and also the groups “A&E”, “Imba Pwned XD”, “Cal and Vicky” and recently voted winners of ‘Staffordshire Rocks’, “The Asylum Soldiers”.
The students felt strongly that the £557.31 raised should be sent to CRY in memory of their musically talented fellow student Harvey Hague-Armitage.
This amount will be added to the Harvey Hague-Armitage Memorial Fund within CRY.
