Caerphilly County Borough Council Backs Heart Screening Campaign

The Caerphilly County Borough Council have approved a motion to support Cardiac Risk in the Young’s (CRY’s) campaign for the government to introduce a national strategy for the prevention of sudden cardiac death in young people. The council also encouraged the Welsh government to consider providing a free heart screening programme for young people, especially young athletes. They also called on the Welsh government to support the introduction of a national strategy and for MPs to support CRY’s campaign.
