We completed the 10k Spotlight Challenge back in September and raised over £1,340 for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of Alexandra Reid who was a dear friend of my little sister. We were very fortunate to receive some very generous sponsorship for our run, partly because sudden cardiac death has affected so many more people

James Wood Tennis Tournament 2016

We had a lovely day and the event was very well supported.  It has become a permanent and very popular activity in the Club’s social calendar and I’m honoured that they wish to keep James’s memory alive and also to help raise awareness of CRY at the same time. Sadly the years roll by and the

Linedance in memory of Anthony Child

We had our annual linedance charity social on the 20th August 2016. Once again we had a brilliant crowd to support the event. Their generosity and enthusiasm for the CRY cause helped to raise the sum of £1,700 on the night. The sum raised was a combination of money on the night and very kind donations

Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of Craig Wilson

I completed the run in 2h 10mins 55 sec. I will have to admit I found it really hard, but the support we received from supporters, friends and family helped get me through. Whilst on the run, I received a tap on the back from another runner who was also running for CRY, passing on encouragement
