The five-mile fell race involves 900 feet of climbing and centres on Sunnyhurst Woods, Darwen. Milltown to Moors Half Marathon

The weather was kind for the race on Sunday 20th October, blustery but dry. The race started in Oldham town centre and then took a 3 mile climb to Grains Bar, Saddleworth.  The views across the moors are quite stunning from there. From here we weaved our way through a couple of villages and round to Greenfield

The Sackville v Imberhorne ‘Old Boys’ match kicked off the evening

Bournemouth Half Marathon

I completed the Bournemouth Half Marathon on Sunday 6th October in 2:01:05 and I am very happy with the time – especially considering the weather, which to everyone’s surprise was sunny and fairly hot, around 19 degrees. It was hard work for me as I am not a natural runner and towards the end I was

Tough Mudder (North West) in memory of Lesley and Rosina

The team’s bruises have gradually turned from black to purple following a really successful (thank goodness!) event at the weekend.  We undertook the challenge of Tough Mudder in memory of my lovely friend Lesley and her daughter Rosina. Lesley (left) was an incredible person who inspired and was a true friend to a great many people
