Northwich Guardian – 10th September 2016 Dozens of cyclists joined Alan Maddock to him on his way to fundraising success for a heart screening session. Alan peddled for 12 hours to raise money for a Cardiac Risk in the Young screening session, and after going from 7am to 7pm, he raised £3,500 – enough to pay

Lancashire Evening Post – 19th August 2016 A group of fundraisers will walk over hot coals to raise money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). Julie Smith organised the event and is campaigning for more vital heart screenings with CRY in the area. The challenge will take place at the Lord Nelson Pub in Chorley.
Cheshire Life – 17th August 2016 An annual Christmas ball held by Future Recruitment has announced Jason Manford as its headlining act/ The ball will be raising funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of actor and stuntman, Darren Shahlavi.
St Helens Star – 4th August 2016 The James Nicolas Foundation was launched in memory of 21-year-old James, who died suddenly from a hidden heart defect in 2012. On Tuesday 23rd August the family will hold a charity golf tournament in order to raise money for more heart screenings in their local area. Read more
