Following on from my first fundraiser last year I followed the same format of a coffee morning with cakes, Christmas goods for sale, and CRY Christmas cards. We raised £605 including the sale of the cards, and had a great chance to catch up with friends. Sarah Shaw
We raised a total of £327 from our cake sale in Eastbourne. We combined the cake sale with a Christmas decoration sale, and Jackie kindly donated 50% of her sales to CRY. The Christmas decorations made £51! We then ran a silent auction on Michael’s Christmas tree cupcake, and this raised another £50! Theresa Owen
A big thank you to friends who attended my cake bake. Despite my broken wrist even I managed to make a few cakes! Friends also brought delicious samples that sold well. We managed to raise just over £200. Sue Fisher
I got to work early on the CRY Great Cake Day. I carefully opened two big cake tins, one full of coconut macaroons, each topped with a glace cherry and resting on a square of CRY rice paper, the other full of Deliciously Ella almond-and-sea-salt brownies. This was only my second week at this new job,
On the morning of Friday 25th November 2016, we held a coffee morning and cake bake in order to raise funds for Joe’s Memorial Fund. Thank you to everyone who came to support and who donated cakes. The total raised from the morning was £529. Charlotte Leyland
My sisters Judith, Yvonne and myself did another cake sale in my sister’s post office raising £334. Janice Klizke
I made £1,765.48 from my cake sale for the Ethan Jones Memorial fund. My son who is 12 and was Ethan’s friend did a guess the number of sweeties in the jar competition instead and he raised £137.50 which we will double for all his efforts. Hilary Wagstaff
I made my clementine and pomegranate jewel cake of mine (which was featured in the baking booklet this year) over the weekend and sold it on my market stall. Thank you for letting me be a part of this year’s fundraiser, I hope I can help again in the future. Henrietta Inman
