Charity walk to remember Adam

Hardy walkers from a Scarborough college are set to embark on a sponsored walk in memory of a fellow student.

Ben Knight, Andrew Marshall, Lewis Baxter and Carl Evans, who are studying Performing Engineering Operation at Yorkshire Cost college, will be tackling a 16-mile return journey from Sainsbury’s in Falsgrave to Hayburn Wyke to remember 17-year-old Adam Everingham, who died in March.

The walkers will be travelling along the old railway track on Sunday, June 27, and are raising money for the Cardiac Risk in the Young charity.

Student Lewis Baxter, said the day would be an opportunity to remember Adam and help raise vital funds for the charity.

He said: “Adam was a really popular lad and we wanted to do something to remember him and help the charity which is probably one that not many people have heard of much before.

“We’re all looking forward to it and should be fine thought there might be one or two blisters the day after.”
