Our local primary school – Etwall Primary School, Derbyshire – held a Chocolate Bingo on Friday 16th March to raise money for CRY. The school have chosen CRY as their charity this year, as it is the school where I worked as a teaching assistant, but also the primary school that James, my son attended.
So far they have raised almost £1000 – collecting donations at their Nativity plays at Christmas, creating comics to sell to the children, clearing local people’s drives of all the snow and from the Chocolate Bingo.
I attended the Chocolate Bingo to represent CRY and to thank parents and children for their continued support and kindness. I also informed them about screening sessions that their donations are helping to fund, as we have a session booked for 2nd February 2019.
