“Is love a feeling of whole, pure completeness?  For me, yes.  That feeling that surrounds you, encompasses you, allows you to be able to breathe with ease.  Clayton gave this to Mark and I the moment he came into our lives.  He gave it to us every single day he was with us.  Everyday.  And we gave it back.  Everyday.  Because this boy of ours had the ability to light up a room, bring ease to a situation and sheer joy to  even the most mundane times.  Oh my boy  I will forever miss your infectious smile, your eyes that had so many shades in them.  I will forever hold on through to all those colours you shared with me.  I will forever thank you from my soul for being mine.  Mine to share.  Mine to hold.  Mine to love.  I will hold on to you, love you in the now forever.  You are not gone, you are with me.  My soul keens for you Clayts.  It will.  How could it not.  You are amazing and I am proud.  Proud to be your mother.  So incredibly proud of you caro, so incredibly proud.  Heartbroken, but proud of the child you were, the young man you were growing into.  Ti amo caro.”

This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting CRY’s screening programme.

The aim is to fund the screening of young people within the local community.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Cardiac Risk in the Young receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
