“Staff and students at Kuwait English School recently held a charity coin collection to raise funds for the Shamil Hamid Memorial Fund.
Each class was given an empty pot and asked to bring loose change to school, to fill it.
Competitions abounded as children saw the level of coins rising to fill their class jar and included weighing coins, measuring them and making towers and pathways.
Pots were collected and coins counted by the sorting machines at Kuwait Citibus.
Many thanks to all those who contributed, we raised approximately £3,000.”
