Stephanie and Rupert Hunter have been fundraising since 2004 after her son Sebastian died. 15 years earlier, Stephanie lost her first husband under the same circumstances. The couple have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for the recently relocated pathology lab, now at St George’s hospital.
The award recognises outstanding individual volunteers making a real change in their communities and helping others.
