Cry for help wins praise

A leading cardiac charity has been praised for its work by Welsh politicians.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is in its 10th anniversary year and the charity held an awareness event in Cardiff Bay at the Welsh Assembly building.

Every week eight apparently fit and healthy young people die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions.

CRY is a charity, founded in May 1995 by Deeside woman Doreen Harley, to raise awareness of cardiac risk in the young.

They offer support to those who have suffered a loss, promote heart screening, donate medical equipment to doctors
