This year we are excited to be back walking as normal from Durham Amateur Rowing Club. The route will either take you through the city centre taking in the iconic Cathedral and Castle, Town Hall and Market Place; or along the river side.
Join us at 11am on Sunday the 19th September in Durham and walk to raise awareness, reflect and remember.
We welcome registrations up to and including the day of the event. If you wish to register after 4pm on Friday 17th September please do so on the day by coming to Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham, DH1 3JU, from 9:30am. Adults can register for £15 and children aged 16yrs and under can take part for free, dogs are also welcome to attend, but can’t enter the rowing club.
If you are unable to make the walk in Durham, or have always wanted to take part but don’t live locally we are pleased to announce #MyWalkForCRY. This gives supporters the opportunity to get involved raising awareness from your local area. Simply plan a route the same distance as the Durham Walk and we’ll send you a T-shirt, digital pack, and all you need for a successful day.
Once you register, to help you get organised for the Durham Walk and to help you plan a route if you are taking part in #MyWalkForCRY, you’ll receive our digital pack filled with downloads, message wall links, and ideas to get you started.
*Register before the 15th September to have your T-shirt posted to you. Any registrations after that date will be able to collect your T-shirt on the day of the walk in Durham. If you’ve registered for #MyWalkForCRY after the 15th, you T-shirt will be posted to you after the event.
What happens if the walk in Durham is cancelled?
You will have two options;
1. Your registration will be transferred over to My Walk, so that you can still take part in your local area.
2. If you would prefer a refund this can be arranged.
What if I get ill?
I’m afraid if you get ill and are unable to attend it will not be possible to offer you a refund.
We will be following the current and up to date government guidelines on the day, please bring a mask to wear when inside the Rowing Club.
