Audiences are promised a treat by pupils of a city dance school next month, when their variety performance offers something for everybody.
The Dae School of Dance is performing its Song and Dance Spectacular at the Globe Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9, to raise money for CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young.
It is in memory of 18-year-old Lee Wilson, the son of one of the school's principals Carole Wilson, who tragically died last year. In previous years Lee had been the lighting and sound technician for the shows.
The performances will also mark the national CRY Awareness Week.
Carole and fellow-principal Elaine O'Neill say they are confident this year's show will be a runaway success with the children once more giving their all.
The school's Ani Koshti said: "As in previous years, this show will again be spectacular and dynamic. We're hoping it's a sell-out, to maximise the sum raised for CRY. There'll be modern and older songs and dances, with something in the show for everybody."
The show will be performed at the Globe Theatre at 2pm and 7pm on both July 8 and 9. BBC Spotlight presenter Janine Jensen will present the proceeds from the performance to a representative of CRY at the end of the performance.
Tickets, costing £6 for adults and £5 for children, can be purchased in advance by ringing 01752 404242.
