I completed my Marathon challenge on Sunday. It was an emotional day. The organiser of the race was aware of my circumstances and made an announcement before the start of the race. It was hard work having to do the 6.2 mile on my own before the start of the 20 mile race [agreed with organiser after the cancellation of the Barcelona Marathon].

Phil tragically died on 12th May 2019 with SADS (sudden arrhythmic death syndrome) aged 36 leaving behind his wife, two young children, parents and brother. He left a huge void in our lives and those of his friends and work colleagues. Phil was an unselfish person and would help anyone and would have been proud to know his passing away might save other lives.
