15 March 1970 – 25 March 2019
In August 2018 Dermot suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Tragically, he never recovered, and we lost Dermot on 25 March 2019.
Dermot was an amazing individual; a much-loved husband, parent, son, brother, uncle, friend, employer, professional adviser and confidante to all those lucky enough to have had him in their lives.
The family are supporting Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) as a charity that does much good work to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD).
We hope that anyone who would like to do something positive to remember Dermot will consider a donation to this charity. Dermot was a hugely talented tax professional. He would certainly encourage you to make your donation go further for the charity (and yourself) by ticking the Gift Aid box if you are a taxpayer!
Dermot is sorely missed. We hope that this will be a fitting tribute to him and help prevent other families experiencing the loss of a loved one to SCA. If awareness of underlying conditions can be heightened there is a good chance that lives can be saved. That has to be worth aiming for.
