Diane Brocklehurst 1979-2003
Having recently qualified as a radiographer, Diane set off on a ‘gap year’. She travelled through S E Asia, worked for a while in Australia then went on to New Zealand. She died, aged 23, diving on the wreck of the Rainbow Warrior in Matauri Bay. The probable cause of death was an undiagnosed heart condition.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death, support those affected, support CRY’s screening programme and fund research and pathology.
