A young woman from Conwy County will run the London Marathon on Sunday in memory of her brother who died suddenly at the age of 21 three years ago.

Elan Gwyn from the village of Eglwysbach will run the marathon in memory of her brother, Dafydd, who died of an undiagnosed heart condition.

Elan will be raising money for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

The charity was a great help to Elan after the death of her brother.

“I knew that there were other people who were through what we had been through and that the charity was also organising screening and testing for young people, so I didn’t really help me at the time – I just knew that there was support available to people,” he told Newyddion S4C.
