The race was originally cancelled due to the weather. We were so, so disappointed and we ended up going to the pub instead feeling deflated. In hindsight it was probably for the best as I am coming back from being injured for a few months, and I felt the two weeks extra training was good for me.
My sister and I ran the half together and didn’t leave each others side. Although I probably helped my sister up a little, it was so encouraging to have someone by my side the entire way. My mum, brother and family were all at the finish line waiting for us, cheering lots of runners in. We are both now entered into the Hereford half on May 13th
We completed the run in two hours and twenty six minutes, raising £650 from sponsorship.
