Fundraising 2016 in memory of Neil

Neil Bradbury and Amy Windle

Football Auction
An online auction to win a signed Manchester United football ran between 4th – 25th March 2016. Man Utd were Neil’s team of choice and the auction closed on what would have been his 36th birthday. The winning bid of £160 came from a former colleague of Neil’s, Robert Wilson.

Ladies Night
Friday 17th June 2016 saw almost one hundred women attend Ladies Night at the Premier Suite in Cannock. Featuring entertainment from KY Kelly, Tyson, Extreme, a disco from Spot on Sounds and a prize raffle the night raised £450 for CRY.

London Bridges Walk
Neil’s partner Amy Windle and her friends Leanne Benton and Natalie Jarrett took to the streets of London to take part in the annual London Bridges Walk on Sunday 26th June 2016. Leanne and Natalie had never been to London so the trio made a weekend of it, exploring the City on the Saturday before joining the walk on Sunday. Together they raised a total of £300 in sponsorship.

Painting Raffle
Local artist Matthew Sayers of Matt Sayers Art donated a limited edition print of his painting aptly titled ‘Heart of the City’ to be raffled. The painting depicts fans attending a game at the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers. Raffle tickets were available at his latest exhibition throughout June at Cannock Library. The raffle was drawn on 30th June 2016 and raised £155 for CRY.

Black Country half marathon
On the 2nd July 2016 Neil’s sister-in-law Jacqueline Bradbury ran the Black Country half marathon to raise money in Neil’s memory. Jacqui said ‘I’m so proud to have run the Black Country half marathon for Neil. It was a big challenge as I picked up a back injury at 12 miles in training but with several sessions with a chiropractor in the week running up to the event I struggled through. I’m so happy to have raised a total of £1,005.03 for CRY to protect other families having to go through what we are going through’.
