Around 250 people attended a fundraising evening of live music in Jono’s memory on 1 March 2024. The event was held at The Rix Pavilion at The Driffield Showground and featured music from local bands Catch 22 and The Pickled Bluebells. A raffle was also held, with many prizes donated by local businesses and a charity auction of items such as Leeds Utd and Hull City hospitality tickets, signed Man Utd shirt and canal boat trip. Together with ticket sales a total amount of £14,000 was raised with all proceeds going to Jono’s memorial fund.

Jono’s parents Dave and Karen and sister Becky, who organised the event said “After tragically losing Jono in December 2022 we decided to raise funds specifically to bring vital heart screening to Driffield and our local community. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from people making donations to local businesses providing sponsorship and raffle prizes and we’d like to thank everyone involved. As a result of the fantastic amount raised we’ve been able to book our first weekend of screening in January 2025.”
