A football match has been organised to raise funds for CRY’s heart screenings in memory of Jack Riding who died at 18 years old due to a heart condition he never knew he had. Jack’s father, Ian Riding, has been working with CRY to get more young people tested for underlying heart conditions. He stated of his son, who had actually collapsed the week prior to his death but disregarded it as nothing but a symptom of hunger and being overheated, “If he’d gone to the hospital, he’d have had an ECG and looked for underlying problems then.
