Charity Night at ‘The Dusty Miller’ in Barlborough. 18th June. A total of £914 was raised from a mixture of a bucket collection and a charity auction.
On the 26th June, we attended the ‘Bolsover Gala’. We held a bottle tombola, plant sale and a draw for a Chocolate Bouquet. £133 was raised.
On the 10th July, ‘The Edge’ housing development in Clowne held a community fun day. We were one of the few non-residents invited to attend. Again we held a plant sale, a bottle tombola and a draw for a Chocolate Bouquet. We raised £207.
Heritage High School in Clowne held a collection during their school play on the 13th July. £170
Brighouse Bay Golf Club in Scotland held an event on the 22nd July and raised £270.
On the 23rd July, we held a Hawaiian themed BBQ. We charged £5 entry per person. This included all food. Approx 200 people attended during the afternoon. We also had a number of activities for kids including Giant Sumo Wrestling, Inflatable Gladiator Jousting. A total of £6066 was raised from these activites, the bar and general collection pots.
And most recently, we had a stall at the ‘Clowne Gala’ held at Heritage High School on 10th September. We held a raffle, bottle tombola, plant sale and a draw for a Chocolate Bouquet. Despite it having rained most of the day, we still raised £1036.
