My story
On the 26th August 2008, my fiancée Michelle lost her brother (Nolan) when his heart suddenly stopped beating. Nolan would be celebrating his 40th birthday on the 14th August 2018.
So on Sunday 5th August, I competed in the ‘AJ Bell London Triathlon 2018’ at the Royal Victoria Dock at ExCel.
The event for me was to celebrate Nolan’s birthday and to raise some much needed money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), which supported Michelle after her brother’s passing.
My fundraising target was to raise £268 which is the day Nolan passed away (26th August) – Well, thanks to all the generous donations, we surpassed that figure and raised £338 (£410 including Gift Aid) – Thank you SO MUCH!
My Results
As for my Triathlon, I’m happy to announce that I managed a New Personal Best over that distance and came 11th in my age category out of 100 and an overall position of 140 out of 1371. 🙂
Our Thanks
So all in all a great day and from the bottom of our hearts – Michelle & I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to our supporters and to CRY for all the great work you guys and gals are doing xx
