A charity golf day in Penrith has raised nearly £3,000 to support heart screenings for young people.

The event, organised by Cumbrian housebuilder Genesis Homes, was held on Friday, June 27, at Penrith Golf Club and supported CRY for Eden, a branch of the national Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) charity.

The event attracted 92 players from businesses in the area, including building contractors, financial advisers, and solicitors.
