Congratulations and a massive thank you to the 72 runners who took part in the Great North Run for CRY on Sunday 7th September 2025!
It was a brilliant day, the weather conditions held out for most of the day, with the rain starting towards the end of the day. Despite the wind, the CRY team did amazingly well to make it round the course to the finish line.
It was lovely to meet and congratulate the CRY runners who came to visit us at the charity marquee. Many of whom came back to see us along with their fantastic supporters. Hopefully the snacks, drinks and massage helped get you all home.
We would like to thank all of the CRY runners’ friends and families for coming along and cheering on the CRY team along with volunteers: David Jewell and Claire Harvey for their kind help on the day. The cheering and massages offered to the CRY runners were invaluable on the day, so thank you for your fantastic efforts and support.
As always, we welcome any runners that would like to take part next year on behalf of CRY. If you would like to run for CRY in the 2026 Great North Run on Sunday 13th September, please fill in the interest form here: https://www.c-r-y.org.uk/great-north-run/ or email your interest to events@c-r-y.org.uk.
