In April 2021 the world lost James Sheppard to Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. James (AKA Jimmy Pap, Shep & Sexy James) was kind, caring, thoughtful, and funny among many other amazing qualities.
I was lucky to be close friends with James since we first met back in 2013. We quickly got on well and over the years our friendship strengthened more and more. He was always there for me whenever I needed support, advice, and comfort. I and everyone who knew James were exceptionally lucky to have him and he’s greatly missed every day.
In September 2021, I (along with my close friend Gary) ran the Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of James and to support the Cardiac Risk in the Young charity. Thanks to the generosity of those who knew and loved James, we raised £1125.
James’ loved ones are continuing to pull together to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young. Our latest goal is to raise enough as a team to put on a cardiac screening event in Nottingham. Please see our team page for more information: www.justgiving.com/team/jamessheppard
